Trenchless Microtunnelling
There is still time to enrol on the microtunnelling course at the Colorado School of Mines (CSM) in Golden, US, to be held on February 7-10, 2012.
The course has two components: pilot tube microtunnelling (Feb 7) and microtunnelling (Feb 8-10).
Microtunnelling’s reduced impact on roads, residents and the environment has meant it has continued to evolve over the past three decades as a trenchless/tunnelling technique.
Presentations from leading experts will discuss all facets of microtunnelling, from design and planning to shaft construction and slurry management.
The course is organised by Dr Levent Ozdemir, president of Ozdemir Engineering and professor emeritus at CSM, and Timothy Coss, president of Microtunnelling. The course presenters will be drawn from a panel of international experts.
Nearly 2,000 contractors, consulting professionals and owner agency representatives have attended the course since its inception.
The Microtunnelling Achievement Awards will be highlighted as part of the programme. This year's winners, in recognition of years of service and dedication to the industry, are Rick Turkopp, Hobas Pipe USA, and Gary Huber, Permalok.
