UK water utility seeks AMP6 contractors

UK-based Anglian Water has posted a notice in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) signalling it requires framework contractors to implement its next tranche of infrastructure investment, worth up to £9 billion (US$14.3 billion).
The work will cover the 2015-2020 period and forms part of Anglian’s AMP6 package, for which it is aiming to have the framework team in place by April 2014. Several contractors are expected to participate in the work, which will be divided into four lots:
A)    Metering;
B)    Repair and maintenance (water and wastewater infrastructure capital works);
C)    Small capital works (water and wastewater infrastructure capital works, and water and wastewater non-infrastructure capital works); and
D)    Medium capital works (water and wastewater infrastructure capital works, and water and wastewater non-infrastructure capital works).
Bidders may apply for any of lots C or D in the following sub-categories:
 a) Design and studies, and/or b) design and construction, and/or c) construction. Interested contractors have until January 28 to register their interest with Anglian Water. Email
